One of the main actions that reflects our responsibility towards the environment is our Drinking Water Treatment Plant, which processes 348,000 m³ of water annually, ensuring safe supply for all daily activities and operations at the Vacation Center.
Thanks to the Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant (PTARD), authorized for its operation through a discharge permit from the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Tolima, approximately 68,000 m³ of wastewater is treated every year. This process helps prevent contamination of nearby streams and rivers, protecting local aquatic ecosystems such as the Sumapaz River and the Melgar stream, significantly contributing to the sustainability of the region’s natural resources.
The Cafam Melgar Vacation Center strictly complies with environmental regulations, contributing to the well-being of local communities and to the ecological balance of the region, responding to the needs and expectations of our stakeholders. We reaffirm our commitment through our Environmental Policy and our Environmental Management System certified in 2025.
